Downtown Dallas TX Revisited
I've practically grown up in downtown Dallas. I went to elementary school and high school in downtown. During my schooling I have have plenty opportunity to walk around downtown and explore a bit. I have not however made time in the last few years to visit downtown with the intent of absorbing the views. A photographer friend (Jessie) and I, went downtown on Saturday morning and toured the outside edges in a complete walk around downtown. Unfortunately the sun and clouds did not cooperate with an overcast morning. The sun did come out once we had completed our "walkabout". For more images follow the gallery link at the bottom of this post (or click here).
We started photographing once we arrived at The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Pioneer Cemetery. This cemetery has an interesting history as noted by Julia D. Quinteros De Hernandez website.
We then crossed Dallas City Hall and headed to the Dallas Farmers Market.
From the Farmers Market we visited the edge of Deep Ellum.
Once we were done admiring artsy Deep Ellum we headed to my old high school, the Business Management Center. We headed northward, admired Crow Collection of Asian Art, and moved on to Klyde Warren Park
Over all, not a bad walk around the outer edge of downtown. Special thanks to fellow photographer, Jessie A., for accompanying me on the 4 hour walk. For the more images from this tour please check out the gallery below:
